The STOXX Digital Asset Blue Chip Index does not assume the market has perfect knowledge in its categorisation of the top 20 digital assets. Using on-chain and off-chain data sources, the Blue Chip Index measures the performance of individual protocols by evaluating and benchmarking each token by its sector peers.
Scoring Method
Individual assets have their data retrieved and metrics calculated then ranked. A scoring methodology is derived by equally weighting five factors to produce between 8 and 15 Blue-Chip assets, each scoring at least 8 out of 10 to be considered Blue-Chip.
The combination of on-chain and off-chain data metrics differentiates the STOXX Blue-Chip Index methodology from pure market cap weighted alternatives for professional investors.
