Zug, 1 July 2021 – Last Friday, Bitcoin Suisse held the 2021 annual general assembly during which the Board of Directors presented the audited and consolidated 2020 results of the group.
In the full year of 2020, Bitcoin Suisse achieved a consolidated net profit of CHF 24.1 million. Consolidated revenues reached CHF 60.3 million, an increase of CHF 39.4 million compared to 2019. The company recorded growth across almost all business activities and continued to invest in its infrastructure and in acquiring new talents. As of June 2021, Bitcoin Suisse employs over 250 people in Switzerland, Denmark, and Liechtenstein. The preliminary result of the first quarter of 2021 was very good.
BTCS Holding AG also updated its articles of association to allow for tokenization of its shares. The shareholders further decided to create authorized capital. Both measures are preparatory for an upcoming security token offering (STO) and to provide Bitcoin Suisse with the flexibility to potentially raise additional funds in the coming year 2022.
