Staking is the process in which users of a blockchain put crypto assets at stake (hence the term ‘staking’) to perform tasks for the blockchain. It is an active way of securing the blockchain through the proof-of-stake consensus protocol.
Users which commit their crypto assets to stake can earn staking rewards.

There is a minimum amount of an equivalent of CHF 5'000 for the following staking currencies: Tezos, Kusama, Cardano, Polkadot, Celestia and MATIC. There is a minimum amount of an equivalent of CHF 10'000 for staking NEAR. There is a minimum amount of an equivalent of CHF 100'000 for staking GLMR. ETH can be staked in multiples of 32 ETH.

Bitcoin Suisse’s integrated staking service is an all-in-one solution, providing a seamless experience while no technical equipment is needed by the client.
The staking fee is 15%, calculated on the staking rewards received and charged in the respective crypto asset after the staking rewards have been credited.
The staking fee is subject to the Swiss VAT (incl.).
At any given time, you can unstake your staked crypto assets directly in your Bitcoin Suisse Online Account or by contacting your relationship manager. Please note that after unstaking, a lockup period may apply depending on the blockchain specification.

The crypto assets that you stake cannot be traded at the same time, but it is possible to use them as collateral for our loan product.
Bitcoin Suisse charges a fee of 15% including VAT (where applicable) on staking rewards. It is calculated on the staking rewards received and debited in the respective staked crypto asset.
