Bio

Gabriela Hauser-Spühler is a self-employed lawyer and notary in the canton of Zug, her practice focusing on commercial and financial market law. Gabriela is familiar with crypto-banking and traditional banking. She worked as Legal Counsel and acted as a deputy in the area of compliance at Zuger Kantonalbank, later she was employed as a senior associate at MME. During her career, she encountered business models based on DLT as early as 2014. She summarized her early experiences in working with the regulator in the then-new legal field in the book "Innovation vs. Regulation - Compliance in Digital Finance".

She has since advised several fintech companies on financial market regulatory compliance or in the context of regulatory proceedings. She studied law at the University of Zurich and passed the bar exam in the Canton of Zug. Gabriela also holds an Executive MBA from the University of St. Gallen.
