Zug, November 8, 2021 – Bitcoin Suisse, the leading Swiss crypto-financial services provider, today announced the strengthening of its leadership structure. As of today, Philipp Vonmoos will become Chief Financial Officer in addition to his current responsibility as Head of Corporate Development & Strategy. Lothar Cerjak, currently Head of Institutional Services & Products, is appointed Head of Trading & Brokerage. Markus Perdrizat, currently Head Custody, will lead the department Product Management & Custody, which will include Custody and Institutional Services & Products. These appointments will support the ongoing sustainable business expansion of Bitcoin Suisse.

Niklas Nikolajsen, Chairman and Founder of Bitcoin Suisse said: “Bitcoin Suisse has recorded outstanding performance in the last 24 months in terms of revenues and profitability. We successfully navigated both sharp market setbacks and strong rallies. We clearly benefited from our robust, scalable infrastructure and a diversified portfolio of services and products. And we consolidated our unique position as a key enabler for the Swiss crypto ecosystem. For the next growth phase, we are taking advantage of our momentum by further optimizing our organization.”

Dr. Arthur Vayloyan, CEO of Bitcoin Suisse and Member of the Board stated: “The way we manage the company needs to keep up with our growth. The new structure of our management committee reflects the ongoing success of our company. We want to continue to expand our business and to increase the breadth of our activities. This new set-up will enable us to do that, while capturing the rapidly evolving opportunities that lie ahead.”

Arthur Vayloyan added: “We have been able both to attract exceptional leadership talent from outside and to grow strong leaders inside our company. In August we announced that experienced executives from outside will join Bitcoin Suisse to head the COO, Legal and Risk & Compliance departments. With Lothar Cerjak, Markus Perdrizat and Philipp Vonmoos, Bitcoin Suisse leaders will take on more responsibility in their new roles. I am very pleased that they will continue to shape the future of the company.”

Rolf Gätzi, Head of Finance & Operations, will leave the firm at the end of November. Stefan Lütolf, Head of Trading & Liquidity, will leave the firm at the end of December. They will ensure a smooth transition period. Arthur Vayloyan thanked them for their strong commitment and very valuable contributions: “Rolf and Stefan joined at an early stage of the development of our company. As key members of the team, they were instrumental in building the infrastructure and processes to scale our business and develop Bitcoin Suisse into a leading European crypto-financial services provider. We wish them well for their future, professionally and personally.”
