Bitcoin Suisse (Europe) AG is strengthening its European footprint with an expansion of its offering into Portugal, a market distinguished by strong digital asset adoption and a growing international wealth community. Through MiCAR passporting, the company provides eligible clients in Portugal with access to trading, custody, and staking services. The offering draws on the Bitcoin Suisse Group’s track record since 2013 and more than CHF 3 billion in crypto assets under custody.
Vaduz / Lisbon, October 20, 2026. Bitcoin Suisse (Europe) AG has appointed Rafaella Orelli and Alexander Spann as General Managers Portugal to support its expansion into the Portuguese market. They will focus on developing relationships with high-net-worth individuals, companies, family offices, and institutional investors in Portugal. Eligible clients are served by Bitcoin Suisse (Europe) AG on a cross-border basis from Liechtenstein under its MiCAR authorisation.
The expansion is intended to address demand from Portuguese investors who require a more sophisticated offering than retail crypto platforms can provide, while traditional banks often lack dedicated digital asset expertise and a more personalised service model. Bitcoin Suisse (Europe) AG combines its crypto-asset service offering with the personalised service of a dedicated relationship manager.
