Zug; January 15, 2021 – Staking, the process of locking funds to support the operations of a blockchain network and earning rewards for doing so, has grown significantly in popularity over the last two years, fueled by the recent launch of Ethereum 2 in December 2020 that already attracted more than USD 2bn in staking assets.

In the last year, staking has become an essential part of Bitcoin Suisse’s offering. Bitcoin Suisse was among the first to offer an all-in-one staking service from day one for Ethereum 2 and, together with its clients, committed 17% of all ETH needed for the launch of Ethereum 2. Clients of Bitcoin Suisse can now stake all major staking currencies (Ethereum 2, Tezos, Polkadot, Cardano, Dash, Cosmos, and Kusama) with industry-leading reward rates (measured in APR – annual percentage rate) over the Bitcoin Suisse Online Staking Dashboard in an easy and transparent way.

To increase transparency towards our clients and partners, Bitcoin Suisse has decided to share regular staking performance updates. As of January 4, 2021, the total assets staked through Bitcoin Suisse accounted to over USD 560m with a total in paid-out rewards to over 1300 staking-clients of over USD 33m in total and over USD 6.3m in December 2020 alone. Please find the details for individual currencies below.
