Armin Schmid

Armin Schmid joined Bitcoin Suisse in April 2018. In his career at Bitcoin Suisse, he built and lead the crypto payments & stablecoin business for several years. In fall 2023, he became Chief Product Officer, where he led all product related teams, such as Trading, Staking and Custody. In Summer 2024, Armin was appointed as CEO Bitcoin Suisse (Europe) AG to lead the expansion into Europe. Armin has a broad range of experience, from leading positions in multi-national companies, working mainly in the areas of business / corporate development and product management in the online & payment industry. This includes positions at SIX Payment Services (today Worldline), PayPal, eBay & Cablecom (today Sunrise). Armin holds a Master-Degree in Materials-Engineering from ETH Zurich and an MBA from University of St. Gallen.
